Grace Mimlitz

Summer of 2007, my 21 year-old daughter Kristen eagerly awaited starting her senior year of college. Things didn’t work out that week as planned.

Phillip’s favorite quote is “Don’t dwell on what you cannot do, but what you can do.” Though he has limited mobility and uses a walker with a seat or cane, he gets around and makes every day count.

I looked around the room filled with nearly 1,000 people, and I thought to myself, “We have this disease that so many are working on to find a cure!”
